Get SCA ready using a PSK
Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is now live. You will need the following when making online purchases online with a debit or credit card using a PSK.
- A debit or credit card
- To be registered for online banking
- A Physical Security Key (PSK)

You can download the Bank of Ireland Mobile app and register on a wide range of devices and use it instead of a PSK. See Bank of Ireland app supported devices

Personal Debit Cards
- A personal debit card
- To be registered for online banking
- Have a Physical Security Key (PSK)
Business Debit cards
- A business debit card
- An authorised user to be registered for online banking
- Have a Physical Security Key (PSK)

Personal Credit Cards
- A personal credit card
- To be registered for online banking
- Have a Physical Security Key (PSK)
- To have added your credit card to your 365 online profile. Add accounts to view online.
Business Credit Cards
- A business credit card in your own name
- To have added your credit card to your 365 online profile – you can add a business credit card to an existing 365 online profile
- Have a Physical Security Key (PSK)
Note: If your business credit card is under a different name to your personal or business current account it cannot be added to your existing 365 profile. If this is the case, you will need to set up a separate 365 online profile.
