Is Apple Pay safe to use?

Yes. When you shop at a merchant, Apple Pay doesn't send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead a virtual account number is used to represent your account information - so your card details stay safe. You also need to authorise every transaction using Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
