Have you got a new smartphone?
If you have a new smartphone and it has installed the same apps you had on your old smartphone, please follow the steps below to set up the Bank of Ireland app on your new phone.
- Uninstall or delete the Bank of Ireland app from your new smartphone
- Go to your app store and Search for 'Bank of Ireland App’ and download the app
- Open the app and complete the registration process
If your phone number has also changed you will first need to update your registered phone number by logging on to 365online.com and going to ‘Manage Accounts’ and then ‘Amend my mobile phone registered for security codes’.
If any device is lost or stolen, contact us immediately.
What happens to your old smartphone? If you are keeping your old smartphone, and then register your new smartphone, you can use both as a security device. This means you can use either device as part of Strong Customer Authentication when you access and manage your online banking using the Bank of Ireland App.
If you choose to recycle your smart device by giving it to family/friend, donating to charity, or using local recycling amenities you should take the following steps;
- Contact us on numbers below.
- We will remove this device from your list of security devices.
- Remove any SIM cards or SD cards (storage) & Restore your device to factory settings.
*Tip: create a unique nickname for your device when setting up the new App for easy management.
