Bank of Ireland appoints new Head of Health
Tuesday 2 December 2014: Bank of Ireland announces the appointment of Hilary Coates as Head of Health and Life Sciences sector with Business Banking. Hilary will be responsible for the continuing development of the Bank’s growth strategy in this key sector.
Hilary brings extensive industry knowledge and experience to her new role, having worked in the health sector for twenty-five years both in Ireland and Internationally. Previous roles included Head of Healthcare Regulation with the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) where she led many major investigations and reviews, Patient Safety Advisor to the World Health Organisation and Lecturer and Programme Director for the Quality, Safety and Leadership programmes at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Hilary qualified as a nurse from St Vincent’s University Hospital. She subsequently graduated from UCD with a Masters in Business Administration and post graduate diplomas in Corporate Governance and Risk Management.
