Surf Accounts wins Grand Prix Award at the 2016 Bank of Ireland Startup Awards
Surf Accounts has picked up the Grand Prix Startup of the Year Award at the Bank of Ireland Startup Awards 2016 which took place on Thursday, 26 May in the RHA in Dublin.
Surf Accounts, founded by Ray Rogers, was also named overall winner in the Digital/Online Startup of the Year category. A Dublin-based company, Surf Accounts provides businesses with an easy to use online accounting package which helps users take charge and produce accounts wherever and whenever they choose. With a number of chartered accountants on the team, Surf Accounts works closely with businesses to enable the smooth production of management and statutory financial statements.
Established in 2012, the Startup Awards recognise innovative, successful and aspirational Irish startup companies who have launched their businesses in the last three years. This year, awards were presented to deserving winners across 12 categories including tech, retail, product and innovation with gold, silver and bronze winners being awarded in each category.
The gold award winners across the other categories were Kollect, winner of the Innovative Startup of the Year, Whelehan’s Wine, winner of the Creative Retail Startup of the Year, Pip & Pear Chilled Baby Food, winner of the Food & Drink Startup of the Year, Cyc-Lok winner of the Sustainable Startup of the Year, Urban Volt, winner of the Service Startup of the Year, Ujet Group Ltd., winner of the Emerging Startup of the Year, Truzees, winner of the Home/Craft based Startup of the Year, Temp Buddy, winner of the Tech Startup of the Year and Hub Controls, winner of the Product & Manufacturing Startup of the Year. Olwen Dawe, was crowned the winner of the Startup Hero Award.
