‘Talent Rising’ Programme brings ‘Best and Brightest’ together to tackle Ireland’s Economic & Social Challenges
Bank of Ireland, in partnership with Cut-e, today launched ‘Talent Rising’, a national development programme aimed at delivering high impact solutions for economic and social challenges faced in Ireland. The eight week programme creates an opportunity for 12 high performing, early career, individuals across multiple organisations, to collaborate and create tangible solutions to help address issues of national importance. Outcomes of the Pilot programme, which concluded in early December, included solutions to attract talent to Ireland, tackle loneliness in over 65’s and deal with childhood obesity.
Facilitating entrepreneurial thinking and social and technological innovation, the programme combines on-the-job experience with formal learning and bespoke developmental initiatives, providing participants with the skills and competencies to excel on the project and in future careers. Each team is mentored by a senior business leader, and supported by an executive coach.
Speaking about the programme, Liam McLoughlin, Bank of Ireland’s CEO of Retail Ireland said; “Bank of Ireland recognises the value of diversity and collaboration in enabling social and economic progress and we are delighted to be a founding partner of ‘Talent Rising’. This programme, which nurtures a dynamic talent pool of the best and brightest young employees from a number of Ireland’s leading organisations, provides them with a unique opportunity to collaboratively tackle national significant issues, whilst also benefitting from professional development.
“At Bank of Ireland, we understand the importance of teamwork, and the value of sharing diverse perspectives. By empowering the next generation to collaborate, the programme fosters social and economic consciousness, to shape Ireland’s future. We congratulate all involved and we look forward to seeing the creative outcomes of this official launch phase of the programme.”
David Barrett, Chief Operating Officer from Cut-e, added: “It is fantastic to collaborate with Bank of Ireland on such a meaningful, high impact initiative where participants have access to experienced mentors, who will contribute enormously to the scope and calibre of the programme. We are delighted to have such keen interest from so many top organisations who wish to get involved and we have already witnessed some incredible outcomes, as participants work together to deliver innovative solutions for issues of national importance.”
The Talent Rising programme will run until May 31st when participants will present their solutions to senior Irish business stakeholders to establish feasibility and routes to take the concept to a tangible output. For more information, visit www.talentrising.ie.
