Issues logging in
If you are having trouble logging in please see the below troubleshooting guides
If you have not yet registered for online banking and would like to register click here.
Follow steps below if you upgraded to the Bank of Ireland App and are now having issues logging in.
- Confirm you are using the correct User ID, text User to 50365 and you will receive an SMS confirming your User ID.
- If your PIN is blocked you will be prompted to call us on numbers below;

Follow steps below if you are having issues logging into the 365 online site.
If the log in screen does not load on your device / browser please check minimum requirement here
- Confirm you are using the correct User ID, text User to 50365 and you will receive an SMS confirming your User ID.
- Enter your full date of birth in format DD/MM/YYYY (date/month/year).
- If your PIN is blocked you will be prompted to call us using numbers on screen.
- If you are not receiving a notification on your security device
- Where you have more than one security device confirm you selected the security device you have with you
- Log into the Upgraded Bank of Ireland app, tap the ‘profile’ icon then ‘My security devices’.
- If the device you selected to does not match the nicknamed device with a status of ‘Active (This device)’ repeat the log in steps for 365 online and select this device*.
- Check you have enabled notifications on that device – If you do not have notifications enabled open the app, tap ‘Added online security’ then swipe to authenticate. You will not be asked to log into the device.
