Visa Account Updater (VAU) explained

Once you receive a replacement or new debit card from us, we will send the new card details to Visa. If you have set up a recurring card payment Visa may send your new card details to the relevant merchants so that those card payments can continue. This includes both personal & business debit cards. An example of this would be a monthly music subscription.
